Yesterday we went to the church here at the orphanage which is their English service. It was amazing to be able to worship with the Nepali people! We met to full time missionaries to Nepal that are from Michigan. We told them about some of the jewelry we are bringing back to the states to try and sell for the orphanage and she suggested we also speak with the owner of the Common Ground Cafe that we usually go to here to use the internet. They also have women make jewelry to sell. They rescue these women from the dance bars and give them a job at the coffee shop as well as making jewelry. After church we took a taxi to Thamel to do a little shopping and to eat at Karen’s favorite restaurant Fire and Ice! We shared a true Italian pizza and it was delicious! Then we did a little shopping and headed back to Kathmandu. On our way back we stopped in to the bakery to try and inquire about taking some jewelry back to the states with us. The owner was very excited and had TONS of jewelry for us to choose form. So we have plenty of things to choose from now! We then made our way back to the orphanage to play with the kids ones last night
This morning we saw them all off to school (except for one little girl Presenah who didn’t want to leave us
) and now we are packing to leave. We will be headed back to the states here in about an hour. Thank you for the prayers and please continue to pray for safety as we travel home. Love you all!
